FAQ
Alles, was vor der Buchung zählt.
How many people is the apartment licensed for?
A maximum of two. We are not permitted to exceed that — not even if guests would bring their own extra bedding. The apartment is deliberately designed as a home for two.
How far is the beach?
About a hundred metres to the beach crossing. The building sits directly on the dune ridge, so you don't walk through town — you walk over the dunes.
Is there a minimum stay?
In high season we let from seven nights. Outside high season shorter stays are possible — just send us your dates.
Are final cleaning and bed linen included?
Yes. Linen packages and final cleaning are always included in the price. Nothing to add on, nothing to bring, and no cleaning on departure.
Are dogs or other pets allowed?
No. The apartment is pet-free and listed as suitable for allergy sufferers — that only holds if it stays that way.
Is there parking?
Yes, a free parking space for one car belongs to the apartment. In a beachfront location on Sylt that is not a given.
How does key handover work?
Through a local letting service in Westerland that we appoint. That way you have someone on the island throughout your stay, even when we are not there ourselves.
How is the apartment laid out?
Sixty square metres on the second floor: a living room with open kitchen and dining area, one bedroom, and a shower room. Plus a south-facing balcony with a beach chair.
What beds are there?
A double bed and a single bed. The licensed occupancy remains two people.
Is there a sea view?
No, and we don't claim one. The apartment sits behind the dune ridge. You have a dune view from the south balcony and you are two minutes from the water — but there is no view over the open sea.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available and usable. Plus a 49-inch cable TV with Ambilight and a radio with Bluetooth.
Is there a washing machine?
Not inside the apartment. In the basement there is a coin-operated washing machine and dryer as a shared facility. We say that plainly — there is no washing machine in the apartment itself.
How is the kitchen equipped?
A new open-plan kitchen with dishwasher, electric hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and toaster. Coffee two ways: Nespresso capsule machine and filter machine.
Is smoking allowed?
No, this is a non-smoking apartment.
How do I reach the apartment without a car?
By Marschbahn train to Westerland, then around 950 metres on foot. All island bus routes also depart from the station — you don't need a car on Sylt.
Do I have to pay visitor's tax?
Yes. Sylt charges a visitor's tax, and the resort card gives you beach access. It is handled by the letting service on site. Rates are set by the municipality of Sylt — ask for the current amount when you enquire.
How do I book?
Check the calendar on this site and send your enquiry directly from here. It arrives in our Travanto inbox, where the booking is processed. If you would rather talk: the phone number is on the contact page.
How current is the availability calendar?
The calendar reads the occupancy plan straight from our booking system and refreshes several times an hour. If we cannot load the data for technical reasons, we say so openly and show no availability at all — we do not guess.
